1) The first thing you have to do is make a pattern out of cardboard or similar material that will show how the box will look and fit in the location you choose and also check the clearance around the box . You want to be able to seal off any hot air from the engine bay. I put mine over the CPU where the stock one was located. Mark all bends, mounting bolt locations & holes that will have to be cut or drilled to hold the unit in place and also hold the MAF and give you clearance between the hood, fender and radiator hose.

2) Next transfer that pattern to the material you chose for the cold air box and cut and/or drill the holes you marked.

3) Next you have to tack weld the pieces together for the final fit. If everything is ok then you can finish welding the pieces together being careful not to warp the pieces with to much heat. This would ruin your whole day. If you don't have a welder or do not know how to weld ask a friend who can or take the parts to a welding shop along with a sketch of how the box goes together and have them do it for you.

4) Once everything is welded together and checked for fit you can grind the welds smooth and clean the box with metal cleaner and paint it.

5) After the paint has dried you can install the weather stripping to seal the box to the hood. This will help keep out the hot air from the engine compartment.

6) Next connect the MAF sensor and tubing to the intake manifold to finish the installation. Make sure you connect all the plug-ins and tighten all the clamps or you will set code.

7) After everything is installed and checked start the engine and take her for a spin. You should notice a difference in acceleration and throttle response.
